Cafe Du Monde is on everyone's list of must-visit places in New Orleans, and for good reason. In business since 1862, this quintessential Creole eatery serves up unbelievable beignets and cafe au lait. Bring cash with you to this popular spot and keep in mind that there is often a line, especially on the weekends. However, this spot is open late, so if you aren't trying to squeeze in for a morning coffee and beignets, you shouldn't have a problem getting a table.

BROWSE THE FRENCH MARKET DISTRICT
Established in 1791, the French Market District is six blocks that feature shopping, dining, a 1.4-mile urban park, and Crescent Park. Open year-round and free to the public, the French Market has a Flea market with daily vendors where you can buy local souvenirs, creole cuisine, and more. Indulge in the liveliness of French Market and then stroll Crescent Park, a linear park along the riverfront boasting public space, bike paths, and great views of downtown New Orleans.
