Deciding where to eat can be a daunting task, especially when there are so many good options popping up all over Miami. If you're looking to spend the night out in Brickell, here are some options to suit a variety of culinary tastes.
PERRICONE'S
Packed on any given night, Perricone's is a staple for anyone who has lived in Brickell. The sprawling restaurant is homey and welcoming with an extensive menu full of Italian classics (the chicken parmesan and lasagna are delicious). On Thursdays, you had better get there early to snag a seat- $10 pasta night cannot be missed. Perricone’s feels exactly how you would want your neighborhood Italian restaurant to feel: warm, buzzing, occasional live music. Reservations can only be made by putting your name on the list, so plan accordingly.
THE RIVER SEAFOOD OYSTER BAR
Tucked next to the sprawling Brickell City Center is the River Oyster Bar, serving some of the most consistently delicious food in town. Everything on this menu is cooked perfectly- Bacalao Croquetas, Pulpo la Plancha, Snapper Filet, and if you really feel like straying from the diet, the Gnocchi & Jumbo Lump Blue Crab. Hopefully, everyone in your group likes to share because there is not a single item that should be missed, even the Brussel sprouts. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, great for date night or simply out with friends. Be sure to also try their house cocktails- the Green Mile and Smoked are two crowd favorites. On the weekends a reservation is highly recommended.
BABY JANE
Unlike its metropolitan counterparts, Miami hasn't seen a large influx of good Southeast Asian restaurants, but in Brickell, if you're looking for ramen, Baby Jane has you covered. The menu is straightforward, offering a selection of staples, like bao buns and ramen, and some more intriguing items like Tuna Pizza and Poke Tacos. Diners can relax outside or post up at the bar as Baby Jane at night takes on the feel of a lounge, with sultry lighting and delicious cocktails (Shishito Mule, Chopsticks, and Stones).
CANTINA LA VEINTE
Walking into Cantina La Veinte you are immediately immersed in Art Deco glamor- dark walls, black and white high-backed chairs, an impressive bar stocked with jewel tone bottles. It is only after a minute or two that you realize that the decor is Mexican. The detailing on the lighting appears Aztec, the ceramics and vases all Mexican artisanal work, and then, of course, there's the food. The menu is dotted with takes on Mexican classics; tortas, Pollo (chicken) en mole, make your own tacos, sopas, as well as an impressive seafood selection. Whether seated upstairs or downstairs, guests have a lovely view of the bay and all its activity. Reservations recommended.
